It All Began With Prayer

Innoculated was started in 2020 after the founder, Joseph Aochoa, went into ceremony and came out of it with a burning desire to open up an exotic culinary mushroom farm. For an entire year, he studied nothing but mycology: learning all about the fascinating world of fungi, how deeply they are connected to nature and human beings, and how to professionally cultivate them and service the community. With helping hands, sacrifice, and much dedication, he built the foundation of Innoculated Farms.

The growth didn’t stop there! In 2023, another prayer was answered. Caitlin De Siervo, a mushroom cultivator and hobbyist, joined the Innoculated team as Co-Owner. With a fresh pair of eyes and shared passion, she worked alongside Joseph for many hours. Together, they updated all of the farm processes and equipment, and made space for a more open work environment. These improvements facilitated a smoother workflow and in return, the mushrooms thrived!

Here at Innoculated, we believe mushroom cultivation isn’t just a business, it is truly a way of life. We hold a deep respect for mother nature and these enchanting organisms and we are honored to grow some of the finest exotic culinary mushrooms in the Tri-State area. We try our best to source high quality growing materials and completely avoid pesticides and chemicals. Not only will you see and taste the difference with our mushrooms, you will also feel the amount of love that is behind the labor!

With each purchase, you contribute to our small family-owned business, enabling us to expand alongside the mycelium. This support allows us to promote the medicinal and nutritional benefits of each strain while advancing our educational initiatives within the Fungi Queendom. We aim to leave positive spore prints on the path to a brighter future. Thank you for being a part of our journey!
